DAY 49PACKING TIPS FOR RAFTINGIt’s always hard for me to pack light, even for a weekend getaway; I always feel like I need to bring my whole closet with me. Since the venue is rafting, it means I would get wet and be under the sun the whole time, so I carefully choose what I need to pack to fit my weekender bag.

SUN BLOCKThe most important thing for any outdoor trip like rafting.I use Neutrogena Ultra Sheer (SPF 100) for my face and Coppertone Ultra Guard Spray (SPF 70) for the body. I personally like spray-on sun block for my body better because It’s easier to put on. It is however hard to find this type here in Jakarta, fortunately I have friends who are nice enough to bring it back from the states.
SWIM SUITS/BIKINIby Old Navy (one set for USD 15)Another crucial item for rafting. You don’t want your bra and panties to get wet do you?! Wear this alone or underneath your regular clothes. It will save you from cold or “wind coming” (masuk angin).
HATby TargetTo cover your precious face. Trust me, you need it!
SPORT SANDALSby TevaInvest in a good sport sandals, it goes a long way. I know you probably won’t use it often, but on occasions like this you need it.
WATERPROOF BAGby Feel FreeAnother good investment if you are the type who likes to go to the beach and do many water activities. I bought this particular bag in Phuket for USD 20, when I realized wearing Marc Jacobs canvas bag won’t save my handphone, wallet and passport from the ocean water.
